In Loving Memory Of Edith Husak (Zachen)

Tribute
Edith Husak will always be remembered for her zest for life. She lived every day to its fullest and always focused on the positive. Her love for animals was always apparent … if you walked by with a dog, prepare to be stopped! Her laughter was contagious and she lit up any room she entered.
Her journey began in Fisher Branch, Manitoba where she was the youngest of four siblings. She moved to BC in 1950 where she began her teaching career. She loved kids and felt honoured to be given the opportunity to become an educator.
Mom met the love of her life, Frank Husak in 1954 and they shared 55 amazing years together. They had three children: Mary, Lucille (Lola) and Carol.
In retirement, Mom traveled extensively throughout Canada and the States. One of her favorite memories was beach combing on Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Island). She was fiercely independent and not afraid of new adventures or meeting new people.
I’m sure Mom made an indelible impression on everyone she met. Her memory will live on forever.
